Millonarios initially took the lead with a stunning goal from Sebastián Valencia in the 14th minute of the second half. He found the net with a precise shot after receiving a well-placed cross from David Mackalister.
However, Santa Fe responded with determination and equalized through Hugo Rodallega, who scored in the 30th minute of the same half, ensuring the match would end in a draw.
