In the 13th round of the Copa Argentina, Vélez Sarsfield secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Dep. Armenio, thanks to a stellar performance from midfielder Tobías Andrada, who netted two goals. The scoring opened with a strike from Aarón Quirós in the 13th minute of the first half, followed by Andrada’s goals at the 31st minute of the first half and the 68th of the second half. Dilan Godoy added to the tally with a goal just before halftime (45’) for the home team. Mauro Dávila managed to score for the visitors in the 71st minute, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome.
In a pivotal moment, Gonzalo Figueroa of Dep. Armenio hit the post in the 67th minute, missing a crucial opportunity to reduce the deficit in what seemed to be a turning point.
Manuel Lanzini was named the man of the match, completing three successful passes and taking two shots on goal. Andrada, in addition to his two goals, also made two attempts at the net, showcasing a strong performance throughout the match.
Defender Elías Gómez displayed a bit of skill that entertained the crowd, managing to nutmeg Santino Lagomarsino from Armenio in the 43rd minute of the first half.
