The Malevos faced a challenging match as they were unable to clinch any points during their visit to the Avenida Stadium, falling 2-0 to Unión in a key fixture for date 13 of the Apertura tournament. The path to victory for Unión was paved by Marcelo Estigarribia, who successfully converted a penalty in the 20th minute of the first half. Cristian Tarragona then extended the lead with the second goal just after halftime at the 49th minute.
Julián Palacios stood out as the star performer of the match, with an impressive effort that included seven shots at goal. He contributed significantly to Unión’s attacking play throughout the game. Estigarribia, too, showcased his talent by scoring one goal and attempting four shots on target.
