In a gripping encounter, Sarmiento emerged victorious, handing Barracas Central a disappointing defeat with a final score of 2-1 in the 13th matchday of the Apertura. The match saw Junior Marabel score the opening goal with a well-placed header in the 23rd minute of the first half. Shortly after, Carlos Villalba doubled the lead at the 39-minute mark with a brilliant play, putting Sarmiento firmly in control.
Despite Barracas Central’s efforts to alter the flow of the game, they could only find the back of the net once, with Rodrigo Insúa scoring from the penalty spot in the 68th minute of the second half.
Junior Marabel was undoubtedly the standout player of the match, contributing significantly with a goal and an impressive five shots on target.
