In a thrilling encounter on Friday, Banfield triumphed over Tigre with a narrow 1-0 win in the 12th matchday of the Apertura. The decisive moment came in the 26th minute when Tiziano Perrotta found the net for Banfield.
Perrotta showcased his aerial prowess, connecting with a header from a precise pass delivered by David Zalazar to propel the ball past the goalkeeper.
Tigre’s Joaquín Laso nearly equalized the match in the 58th minute, but his effort hit the post and denied him a goal.
Tiziano Perrotta was undoubtedly the standout player of the match, having scored the only goal and made two attempts at the opponent’s goal.
David Zalazar also played a crucial role, as he attempted to score on six occasions, consistently threatening Tigre’s defense.
