Banfield achieved a vital victory at home against Tigre today, winning 1-0 in the 12th round of the Apertura tournament. The only goal of the match was scored by Tiziano Perrotta, who found the net in the 26th minute with a well-placed header off a pass from David Zalazar.
Despite several efforts, Tigre struggled to convert their chances, including a near miss from defender Joaquín Laso, whose attempt hit the post in the 58th minute, denying them an equalizer.
Tiziano Perrotta’s standout performance earned him the title of best player of the match, as he not only scored the winning goal but also had two shots on target. In addition, David Zalazar played a key role, making six attempts towards the goal during the game.
Coach Pedro Troglio set up Banfield in a 4-4-2 formation, featuring Facundo Sanguinetti as the goalkeeper; a defensive line comprising Santiago López García, Danilo Arboleda, Nicolás Meriano, and Ignacio Abraham; a midfield with David Zalazar, Santiago Esquivel, Ignacio Pais Mayan, and Lautaro Gómez; and forwards Mauro Méndez and Tiziano Perrotta.
