In a closely contested match at the Stadio Olimpico, Lazio edged out Milan with a solitary goal, marking a significant moment in their Serie A campaign. The only goal of the game came in the 26th minute of the first half, scored by Gustav Isaksen, who found the back of the net following an assist from Adam Marusic.
Prior to the goal, Kenneth Taylor had almost given Lazio the lead, hitting the post in the 24th minute, which left the home crowd gasping in anticipation of a goal.
Despite dominating possession and creating more opportunities with a total of 17 shots (11 on target and 6 off), Milan struggled with their finishing, failing to convert their chances into goals.
