In the opening match of the Apertura, Racing Club showcased their offensive prowess by defeating Lanús with a staggering score of 6-0. Luciana Pérez was undoubtedly the star of the match, netting two goals in the second half to help secure the impressive victory.
The scoring for the home team began early with Abril Reche finding the net in the 4th minute. Claudia’s side maintained control throughout the match. Late in the second half, Marleidy Cossio increased the lead in the 62nd minute, followed by Sindy Ramírez scoring from the penalty spot in the 69th minute. Luciana Pérez struck twice in quick succession, with goals in the 72nd and 79th minutes, before Delfina Pacheco capped off the scoring in the 81st minute.
Looking ahead, Racing will travel to face Boca Juniors in their next fixture, while Lanús returns home to take on Newell’s in their upcoming match at the Lanús stadium.
After this victory, Racing Club sits comfortably at the top of the standings with 3 points, while Lanús is yet to earn any points this season, landing in 16th place.
