Both sides exhibited relentless energy, resulting in a temporary 2-2 draw thanks to goals from Felipe Mora (13’) and Antony Alves (19’) for Portland, while Wessam Abou Ali (5’) and Diego Rossi (43’) found the net for Columbus Crew. Just when it seemed the match would end in a stalemate, Ariel Lassiter struck in the 88th minute, tipping the scales in favor of Phil Neville’s team.
