In a thrilling match held at Estadio Don José Dellagiovanna, Tigre emerged victorious over Racing Club, finishing the game with a score of 3-1. The contest, part of the Apertura’s third week, saw David Romero put Tigre ahead with a goal in the 48th minute of the first half. Racing Club equalized later, with Gabriel Rojas scoring in the 34th minute of the second half, but Tigre quickly responded with two more goals from Ignacio Russo and Gonzalo Martínez, both finding the net in quick succession at the 40th and 44th minutes of the second half respectively.
A standout moment in the match was Martínez’s remarkable goal just minutes before full-time, where he executed a stunning solo run down the left side and curled the ball into the upper corner of the goal, leaving the Racing goalkeeper with no chance.
Though Racing Club dominated possession with 65% of the ball, it was Tigre that made their attacks count, securing the crucial win on home soil.
Gabriel Rojas was a notable player of the match, contributing a goal, completing 48 accurate passes, and shooting twice at the goal. Similarly, David Romero played an important role for Tigre, scoring a goal, taking two shots at the target, and providing two accurate passes.
