In a tightly contested match for the third round of the league, Barracas Central and Dep. Riestra failed to find a winner, wrapping up the game with a 1-1 draw.
Dep. Riestra initially took the lead with a goal from Antony Alonso in the 24th minute of the first half. However, Barracas Central managed to pull level when Rodrigo Insúa converted a penalty in the 59th minute of the second half.
In the first half, Jonathan Herrera almost doubled the lead for Riestra, but his shot hit the post, silencing the cries of their supporters.
The standout player for Dep. Riestra was undoubtedly Antony Alonso, who not only scored but also tested the opposition goalkeeper with four shots on target.
On the other hand, Rodrigo Insúa was pivotal for Barracas Central, making crucial defensive contributions along with scoring the equalizer and clearing two dangerous balls.
Barracas Central’s coach, Rubén Insúa, set his team up in a 5-3-2 formation, featuring Marcelo Miño as goalkeeper; a defensive line of Rafael Barrios, Kevin Jappert, Yonatthan Rak, Gastón Campi, and Rodrigo Insúa; a midfield trio of Tomás Porra, Iván Guaraz, and Iván Tapia; and a striking duo of Gonzalo Morales and Jhonatan Candia.
Meanwhile, Gustavo Benítez’s Dep. Riestra adopted a similar 5-3-2 strategy, with Ignacio Arce in goal; Mariano Bracamonte, Nicolás Sansotre, Cristian Paz, Miguel Ángel Barbieri, and Rodrigo Gallo forming the defense; Jonatan Goitía, Pablo Monje, and Antony Alonso in midfield; and Alexander Díaz and Jonathan Herrera spearheading the attack.
Bruno Amiconi officiated the match.
Looking ahead, Barracas Central will host Gimnasia in their next fixture, while Dep. Riestra will be traveling to meet Estudiantes at the Jorge Luis Hirschi Stadium.
