In a thrilling encounter on the first matchday of the Brasileirao, Mirassol emerged victorious against Vasco da Gama, clinching all three points with a comeback win. The game kicked off with a goal from Philippe Coutinho, who headed the ball into the net in the 20th minute, putting Vasco ahead 1-0.
However, Mirassol quickly responded with two goals. Renato Marques found the back of the net with a well-placed shot in the 31st minute, before Eduardo sealed the comeback with a goal shortly after the start of the second half, at the 53rd minute.
Coutinho’s performance was a highlight for Vasco, with his excellent header showcasing his skill. He received an assist from José Luis Rodríguez, who delivered a pinpoint cross into the area.
Eduardo, who had a standout game, was instrumental in Mirassol’s success, scoring one of the vital goals. Renato Marques also made his mark, netting a goal and taking three shots during the game.
