In the second round of the Colombian league, Tolima celebrated a solid win against Alianza FC, finishing the match 2-0. The breakthrough came from Juan Pablo Torres, who converted a penalty in the 57th minute to put Tolima on the scoreboard, while Yhormar Hurtado doubled the lead just nine minutes later in the 66th minute.
Hurtado sent the home fans into a frenzy with a powerful shot after receiving a pinpoint cross from Adrián Parra, leaving Alianza’s goalkeeper Juan Chaverra Martínez with no chance to respond.
Meanwhile, Alianza FC had a moment of hope in the 81st minute when Carlos Esparragoza’s shot hit the post, denying the visitors an opportunity to reduce the deficit.
Yhormar Hurtado was undoubtedly the star of the match, making significant contributions with his goal.
Juan Pablo Torres also played a vital role, not only scoring but delivering three shots on target throughout the match.

Conversely, Alianza FC, managed by Hubert Bodhert, lined up in a similar 4-5-1 shape with Juan Chaverra in goal; Yilson Rosales, Pedro Franco, Juan Viveros, and Juan Arcila as defenders; Jair Castillo, Wiston Fernández, Sergio Aponzá, Jhon Valoyes, and Josy Pérez in midfield; and Carlos Lucumí leading the attack.
The referee, Luis Delgado Hurtado, officiated the match.
Looking ahead, Tolima will visit Independiente Medellín next, while Alianza FC will host Boyacá Chicó at the Armando Maestre Pavajeau stadium.
