On Saturday, CF Monterrey secured an emphatic 5-1 victory over Mazatlán at Estadio El Kraken in their third match of the Clausura tournament. The home team netted their only goal thanks to Jordan Sierra in the 40th minute of the second half. The visitors, however, found the net through Jesús Corona (7’ 1H), Jorge Rodríguez (21’ 1H), Anthony Martial (24’ 1H), Germán Berterame (10’ 2H), and Iker Fimbres (20’ 2H).
CF Monterrey’s Anthony Martial had a chance to increase the lead further when he missed a penalty in the 24th minute of the first half.
