In the first matchday of the Clausura, FC Juárez achieved a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Mazatlán on Friday night. The game saw Francisco Nevarez break the deadlock in the 22nd minute with a stunning goal following an impressive play. However, Mazatlán quickly responded, with Facundo Almada equalizing in the 34th minute through a well-executed play of their own. The drama continued until the 46th minute of the first half when Denzell García scored the decisive goal, solidifying the win for the visitors.
A standout moment of the match was Nevarez’s goal at the 22-minute mark. After receiving an assist from Madson, the defender curled the ball into the top left corner, a strike that left the Mazatlán goalkeeper with no chance.
Denzell García was undoubtedly the star of the match. The FC Juárez midfielder not only scored a crucial goal but also registered three shots on target, creating multiple scoring opportunities.
Francisco Nevarez was also instrumental defensively, contributing significantly by scoring one goal and clearing two dangerous balls from his own area.
