In the highly anticipated final of the Clausura, Nacional triumphed over Peñarol with a narrow 1-0 victory. The decisive moment came in the 23rd minute of stoppage time when Osinachi Ebere found the back of the net.
After receiving a well-placed cross from Julian Millan, the forward shot from inside the penalty area, leaving the rival goalkeeper with no chance to save.
The tension escalated when Leandro Umpierrez hit the post with a shot in the 98th minute of the second half, silencing the hopes of Peñarol’s supporters.
