Just two minutes into the second half, Antonio Sanabria opened the scoring for Paraguay. Mexico equalized shortly after, with Raúl Jiménez converting a penalty in the 53rd minute. The decisive goal came from Damián Bobadilla, who headed in the ball to secure the victory in the 56th minute.
In the first half, Mexico almost broke the deadlock when Edson Álvarez’s shot struck the post, leaving them yearning for a celebration.
Damián Bobadilla was undoubtedly the standout performer of the match, showcasing his talent by scoring one goal. Julio Enciso also made a significant impact, testing the opposing goalkeeper with three shots and successfully completing two key passes.
