In the opening match of Group B, Tolima triumphed over Fortaleza FC with a 1-0 scoreline at the Metropolitano de Techo stadium. Adrián Parra was the standout player, scoring the lone goal in the 31st minute of the first half.
Parra distinguished himself as the most prominent player on the pitch, not only netting the goal but also taking two shots at the opposing goal. Another key contributor for Tolima was Kevin Pérez, who similarly attempted two shots on target during the game.
