In the clash for the 16th round of the Clausura, Defensa y Justicia struggled to match the efficiency displayed by Independiente Riv. (M), culminating in a 2-0 defeat at El Tito Tomaghello Stadium. The first goal came early, in the 13th minute, thanks to an exquisite shot by midfielder Matías Fernandez. Sheyko Studer sealed the victory with another goal in the 68th minute.
Defensa y Justicia maintained possession for 62% of the match but failed to translate this dominance into goals. Independiente Riv. (M) took full advantage of their chances and emerged victorious.
Matías Fernandez earned the title of the standout player, scoring one goal, completing 22 successful passes, and attempting two shots on target.
Sheyko Studer made his presence felt in defense, not only scoring but also clearing three dangerous balls and winning back possession twice.
