On Sunday, Peñarol triumphed over Wanderers by a score of 3-0 in a match that marked the 12th round of the Clausura. Just before halftime, Maximiliano Olivera found the net after seizing a well-placed pass, giving his team the lead.
As the second half kicked off, Matías Arezo doubled the lead in the first minute, and later, in the 60th minute, Maximiliano Silvera sealed the match with a powerful shot, concluding the scoring at 3-0.
One of the standout moments of the match was the goal scored by Maximiliano Olivera right at the end of the first half. Receiving a cross from Diego García, Olivera struck the ball from inside the box, leaving the opposing goalkeeper with no chance.
Matías Arezo was undoubtedly the star of the match, contributing one goal and making seven attempts on target against Wanderers.
