Platense initially fell behind when Alexander Díaz scored for Dep. Riestra at the 13th minute, but Oscar Salomón leveled the proceedings for Platense just before halftime with a goal in the 39th minute.
In a nail-biting finish, Maximiliano Rodríguez nearly clinched the game for Platense in stoppage time, but his shot hit one of the posts.
Throughout the match, Platense maintained a greater hold on the game, posting a 67% possession rate and taking 19 shots towards the opponent’s goal, yet they failed to find the winner.
Oscar Salomón was undoubtedly the star of the match, contributing significantly by scoring a goal and making 10 clearances from the defensive area.
