In the highly anticipated matchup that took place on Monday, Defensor Sporting clinched a 2-1 victory against Wanderers, marking another crucial victory in the Clausura. Alexander Machado opened the scoring with a well-executed play, converting early in the second half to give Defensor Sporting the lead. However, Wanderers quickly equalized through Paulo Lima, who netted a header in the 17th minute of the second half.
Despite the setback, the hosts regained control and celebrated once more with a goal from Lucas Agazzi at the 21-minute mark of the same half, sealing the win for Defensor Sporting.
