In a compelling encounter on Friday at Estadio La Fortaleza, Lanús emerged victorious against Platense, claiming a 2-1 win on matchday 9 of the Clausura. The scoring opened in the 36th minute, thanks to José Canale, who capitalized on a well-placed cross to put his team ahead.
Lanús didn’t settle for just one goal; they pushed for more just before halftime. Lautaro Acosta connected with a header in the 45th minute, doubling the lead for the home side.
Platense fought back in the second half, with Ronaldo Martínez finding the net in the 49th minute from a free kick, narrowing the deficit to 2-1. Despite having more shot attempts than their opponents (18 in total), Platense struggled for precision, managing only 8 on target while 9 went off course.
Ronaldo Martínez was the standout player for Platense, netting a goal and firing off five shots, while also completing six successful passes. Another key player was Rodrigo Herrera, who had a remarkable game with 95 successful passes and took two shots on target.
