In a thrilling encounter, RB Bragantino and Sport Recife ended their match with a 1-1 draw in the 23rd round of the Brasileirao.
RB Bragantino took the lead with a penalty converted by Eduardo Sasha in the 56th minute. However, just moments after the breakthrough, Derik Lacerda equalized for Sport Recife in the 47th minute of the second half.
The home side came close to regaining the lead when Lucas Barbosa struck the woodwork on two occasions.
Derik Lacerda was the standout player of the match, showcasing his skills with a goal and an impressive six shots on target.
Goalkeeper Cleiton also made significant contributions, saving eight shots to keep RB Bragantino in the contest.

On the other hand, Sport Recife, under coach Daniel Barion, lined up in a 4-4-2 formation with Gabriel Vasconcelos as goalkeeper; Rafael Thyere, Matheus Alexandre, Ramon Menezes, and Victor Hugo in the backline; Lucas Lima, Christian Rivera, Pedro Augusto, and Zé Lucas in midfield; and Derik Lacerda alongside Léo Pereira up front.
The match referee, Anderson Daronco, officiated the game held at the Estadio Cícero de Souza Marques.
Looking ahead, RB Bragantino will next face Cruzeiro away from home, while Sport Recife will play against Atlético Mineiro on the road.
As it stands, Sport Recife now has 31 points in the league, securing the eighth position, while RB Bragantino finds itself at the bottom of the table with just 11 points.
