The decisive moment arrived in the second half when Anders Dreyer seized an opportunity and scored the winning goal in the 65th minute, sealing the victory at 2-1.
Los Angeles FC had a chance to equalize shortly after the goal, but Son Heung-min’s shot ricocheted off the post, denying them a crucial second goal.
