Just 26 minutes into the first half, Augusto Schott broke the deadlock with a brilliant goal, after receiving a precise cross from Rubén Botta and finishing expertly inside the box.
Independiente responded fiercely, and ten minutes into the second half, Nicolás Freire leveled the score with a powerful header, igniting the spirits of the visiting supporters. However, Talleres did not relent. They pressed on and reestablished their lead in the 78th minute thanks to a decisive shot from Valentín Depietri, which sealed the 2-1 final result.
Despite having opportunities, including a notable chance from Felipe Loyola, who struck the post moments before halftime, Independiente fell short. Valentín Depietri stood out as the star of the match, registering one goal and completing four successful passes.
On the other hand, Iván Marcone played a crucial role for Independiente, executing 70 effective passes and winning back possession three times during the match.
