Luiz Araújo broke the deadlock just 15 minutes into the second half, and shortly after, at the 50-minute mark, Wallace Yan extended the lead, securing Flamengo’s important win.
São Paulo felt the pressure early on when Léo Ortiz’s shot hit the post in the 20th minute of the first half, silencing the hopes of the away fans.
Wallace Yan was the standout player of the match, not only scoring a goal but also displaying remarkable skill throughout the game. Wesley França played a pivotal role in defense, ensuring Flamengo maintained a strong backline.
Late in the match, in the 86th minute, São Paulo’s Ryan Francisco showcased his skills by effortlessly dribbling past Flamengo’s Guillermo Varela with an incredible nutmeg.
