The home team struck first with Gonzalo Jara scoring in the 7th minute, followed by Felipe Chamorro in the 22nd minute, and Jeyson Rojas netting another in the 62nd minute. Cristian Gutierrez capped off the scoring for La Serena in the 68th minute, while Juan Araya scored a consolation goal for San Luis from the penalty spot in the 78th minute.
