CF Montréal triumphed with a narrow 1-0 win against New York City FC in an intense match at Stade Saputo. The decisive goal came in the 22nd minute of the first half when Victor Loturi found the back of the net.
After a strong play down the left flank, Loturi unleashed a shot from the edge of the area that evaded NYCFC goalkeeper Tomás Romero Keubler, nestling just inside the left post.
Victor Loturi was undoubtedly the standout player of the match, registering the lone goal that secured three vital points for Montréal.
Defensively, George Campbell was key for the home side, successfully clearing five balls out of danger throughout the contest.
