The game’s momentum shifted early when Djordje Mihailovic opened the scoring with an impressive finish in the 24th minute. Just four minutes later, Calvin Harris doubled the lead, slotting the ball home following a well-placed cross from Theodore Ku-Dipietro.
Harris nearly added to the scoreline in the second half, striking the crossbar in the 55th minute, which kept Galaxy’s hopes alive momentarily. However, they were unable to capitalize on any chances that came their way.
Nico Hansen stood out as the star performer for Colorado Rapids, demonstrating his skills by saving five shots on goal. Meanwhile, Andreas Maxso was crucial in defense, clearing 15 balls from the danger zone, ensuring that the Galaxy attackers were stifled throughout the match.
