In an action-packed encounter at the Luis Franzini Stadium, Defensor Sporting managed to secure a dramatic 2-1 win over Cerro in the sixth round of Group A this Sunday. Despite trailing 1-0, Defensor made a remarkable comeback, with Diego Abreu being the standout player of the match.
Cerro took the lead when Emanuel Cuello scored in the 26th minute of the second half. However, Defensor responded brilliantly, with Abreu finding the net twice within nine minutes, first at the 36-minute mark and then converting a penalty in injury time at 45 minutes.
