In a dramatic finish, St. Louis City and New York City FC ended their match with a 1-1 draw in Week 6 of the MLS.
New York City FC’s forward, Hannes Wolf, opened the scoring just five minutes into the second half, setting the stage for an intense battle on the pitch. However, Brendan McSorley swiftly equalized for St. Louis City in the 50th minute of play, showcasing his exceptional skill.
McSorley’s performance was undoubtedly the highlight of the match, proving to be a pivotal player for St. Louis City with his well-timed goal. Hannes Wolf also stood out among the players as he netted the opening goal for NYCFC.
Coach Pascal Jansen deployed NYCFC with a 4-3-3 formation, featuring Matthew Freese in goal; Tayvon Gray, Thiago Martins, Kai Trewin, and Kevin O’Toole in defense; Aiden O’Neill, Maximiliano Moralez, and Keaton Parks in midfield; and Agustín Ojeda, Nicolás Fernández Mercau, and Hannes Wolf leading the attack.
