The young striker Alejo Veliz emerged as the hero for Rosario Central, scoring twice to secure a 2-1 victory over Atlético Tucumán this Saturday at the Gigante de Arroyito stadium. Veliz’s first goal came in the 30th minute of the first half when he headed the ball into the net, igniting celebrations among the home fans. Later, in the 74th minute, he sealed the win with a powerful shot from inside the area, making it 2-1 after Leandro Díaz equalized for Atlético Tucumán just before halftime.
Veliz had a chance to open the scoring much earlier, but he missed a penalty in the 10th minute, which could have changed the tone of the match. His performance, however, did not go unnoticed as he generated significant excitement with his second goal and stood out with a total of 5 shots at goal.
