This Friday, the Mardan Sports Complex witnessed an exciting friendly match as Jordan faced off against Costa Rica, ending in a 2-2 tie. Jordan took an early lead in the second half when Baha Faisal converted a penalty in the 50th minute, putting his team ahead 1-0. Just 30 minutes later, Ibrahim Sabra extended the lead for Jordan with a powerful shot.
However, Costa Rica was determined to make a comeback. They found their first goal when Josimar Alcócer capitalized on an opportunity to beat the opposing goalkeeper in the 83rd minute, narrowing the gap to 2-1. Costa Rica continued to press and was rewarded when Warren Madrigal equalized with a header in the dying moments of the match, right at the 90th minute.
Warren Madrigal emerged as the standout player of the match, showcasing his abilities by scoring one of Costa Rica’s goals. Ibrahim Sabra similarly impressed for Jordan with his notable performance and goal.
Jordan’s head coach, Jamal Sellami, deployed a 5-3-2 formation with Yazeed Abulaila in goal; Abdallah Nasib, Ahmad Assaf, Husam Abudahab, Yazan Alarab, and Mohammad Abuhashheesh forming the defense; and Ibrahim Sadeh, Mousa Altamari, and Noor Alrawabdeh in midfield, alongside strikers Odeh Fakhoury and Baha Faisal.
