England took the lead with a goal from Ben White in the 35th minute of the second half, but Uruguay equalized shortly after with a penalty converted by Federico Valverde in the 49th minute.
Valverde was undoubtedly the star of the match, managing to score Uruguay’s equalizer. Meanwhile, Ben White made a significant contribution for England by getting on the scoresheet.
England’s head coach, Thomas Tuchel, utilized a 4-5-1 formation featuring James Trafford in goal; a defensive line consisting of Valentino Livramento, Fikayo Tomori, Harry Maguire, and Djed Spence; and a midfield of Jordan Henderson, James Garner, Noni Madueke, Phil Foden, and Marcus Rashford. Dominic Solanke led the attack.
