In Week 5 of the MLS, Nashville SC triumphed over Orlando City SC with an impressive 5-0 scoreline, led by a spectacular hat-trick from Sam Surridge at Geodis Park. The house team took the lead early with a goal from Cristian Espinoza in the 4th minute, followed by three essential goals from Surridge at the 27th minute (penalty), 51st minute, and 66th minute. Warren Madrigal capped the scoring with a goal in the 79th minute.
Orlando City attempted to find their footing, with defender Griffin Dorsey hitting the post in the 57th minute, which denied them even a consolation goal.
Sam Surridge’s standout performance made him the man of the match, as he scored three goals and had five attempts at the Orlando goal. Cristian Espinoza also had a noteworthy game, contributing one goal and making two attempts on target.
Nashville’s head coach, B. J.
