In an impressive display, Javier Ruiz netted two of the three goals that led Necaxa to a commanding win over Tijuana during Matchday 12 of the Clausura. The midfielder struck first at the 34th minute of the first half and then again at the 55th minute of the second half, showcasing his talent and skill. His first goal came after a flawless individual effort down the right flank, where he unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box that left Tijuana’s goalkeeper, José Rodríguez Romero, with no chance as the ball found the left corner.
Tijuana had an opportunity to take the lead earlier, with a shot from Ricardo Monreal hitting the post at the 34th minute of the first half, but it was Necaxa who capitalized on their chances.
Ruiz’s outstanding performance earned him the title of the match’s best player. He finished with two goals and attempted two shots on target, delivering a standout performance.
Another notable player for Necaxa was Ricardo Monreal, who contributed significantly with six attempts on goal.
Necaxa’s head coach, Martín Varini, opted for a tactical formation of 3-5-2, with Ezequiel Unsain guarding the goal; Raúl Martínez, Alexis Peña, and Agustin Oliveros in the defensive line; Danny Leyva, Kevin Gutiérrez, Lorenzo Faravelli, Javier Ruiz, and Cristian Calderón in midfield; and Ricardo Monreal and Tomás Badaloni leading the attack.
On the other hand, Tijuana, led by Sebastián Abreu, deployed a 5-3-2 strategy with Antonio Rodríguez in goal; Ramiro Árciga, Rafael Fernández, Jackson Porozo, Unai Bilbao, and Jesús Vega at the back; Ignacio Rivero, Iván Tona, and Jesús Gómez in the midfield; and Diego Abreu and Kevin Castañeda upfront.
The match, officiated by referee Martín Molina Astorga, took place at Estadio Victoria.
