In the twelfth round of the Apertura, Lanús emerged victorious with a narrow 1-0 win over Vélez at the Estadio José Amalfitani. The defining moment came in the 70th minute when Carlos Izquierdoz scored the only goal of the match, sealing the Granate’s win.
Izquierdoz excelled on the field, contributing not only with the goal but also by clearing five dangerous balls from his team’s defensive area. His performance was key to Lanús’s success.
Additionally, goalkeeper Nahuel Losada played a crucial role, making six notable saves to keep a clean sheet against Vélez’s attempts.
