In the 12th round of the Apertura, Lanús managed to claim a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Vélez at the Estadio José Amalfitani. The decisive moment came in the 70th minute when Carlos Izquierdoz found the back of the net, sealing the fate of the match.
Izquierdoz had an outstanding performance, contributing not only with the winning goal but also by successfully clearing five dangerous balls.
Lanús’ goalkeeper, Nahuel Losada, was another key figure, making six crucial saves to keep Vélez at bay.
