This Tuesday, Llaneros FC and the Rojinegros fought to a 2-2 draw in a tightly contested match on Matchday 12 of the Colombian league.
The scoring opened with Llaneros FC taking the lead in the 19th minute of the first half, thanks to a well-executed play by Neider Ospina. However, Cúcuta quickly responded, equalizing in the 23rd minute with a fine goal from Eduar Arízalas.
Minutes into the second half, at the 50th minute, Llaneros FC regained the lead when Jhonier Blanco netted another goal. But the visitors weren’t done yet; Diego Calcaterra leveled the score again in the 83rd minute with a header, sealing the draw.
Neider Ospina emerged as the standout player, contributing with a goal and three shots on target. His counterpart, Eduar Arízalas, also had a significant impact, scoring once and taking two shots.
Notably, Victor Mejia from Cúcuta showcased his flair, skillfully maneuvering past defender Alejandro Moralez with a nutmeg in the 31st minute of the first half.

Cúcuta, under Richard Páez’s management, aligned in a 4-5-1 setup as well, featuring Federico Abadía in goal; Yair Abonia, Diego Calcaterra, Jhon Quiñónes, and Brayan Montaño in defense; with Kevin Londoño, Victor Mejia, Jhon Valencia, Leider Berdugo, and Eduar Arízalas in the midfield; and Luifer Hernández as the forward.
Referee Carlos Ortega Jaimes oversaw the proceedings of the match.
In the upcoming fixtures, Llaneros FC will visit Deportivo Cali, while Cúcuta will travel to face Pereira at the Santiago de Atalayas stadium.
The results leave Llaneros FC with 15 points, placing them 10th in the standings, while Cúcuta lingers at the bottom with 7 points in 18th place.
