In a commanding display at La Fortaleza, Lanús overwhelmed Newell’s with a 5-0 triumph, propelled by a stellar hat-trick from forward Dylan Aquino. The scoring opened with a penalty converted by Walter Bou in the 15th minute, followed by three goals from Aquino at the 36th, 39th minutes of the first half, and an early goal in the second half at the 53rd minute. Eduardo Salvio capped off the score with a goal in the 54th minute.
Ramiro Carrera came close to further extending Lanús’ lead with a shot that struck the post in the first half.
Dylan Aquino’s remarkable performance earned him the accolade of man of the match. He not only netted three goals but also made five attempts on goal, proving to be a constant threat.
Additionally, Ramiro Carrera showcased good form, completing two accurate passes and attempting two shots.
Under the management of Mauricio Pellegrino, Lanús used a 4-3-3 formation with Nahuel Losada in goal; a defensive line comprising Tomás Guidara, Carlos Izquierdoz, José Canale, and Sasha Marcich; a midfield trio of Felipe Peña Biafore, Agustín Cardozo, and Ramiro Carrera; and a forward line featuring Eduardo Salvio, Walter Bou, and Dylan Aquino.
