Racing Club delivered a strong performance against Estudiantes (RC), winning the match 2-0, thanks to two goals from forward Adrián Martínez. The turning point came just after the break when Martínez broke the deadlock in the 54th minute with a brilliant individual effort. Less than five minutes later, at the 58th minute, he doubled the advantage with a well-placed header assisted by Adrián Fernández, sending the ball into the net and sealing the deal for his team.
Earlier in the first half, Martínez had a golden opportunity at the 29th minute to score, but his shot hit the post, denying him an earlier breakthrough.
Martínez was undoubtedly the standout player of the match, netting two goals, taking four shots on goal, and completing nine successful passes. His teammate, Adrián Fernández, also played a crucial role, achieving an impressive 27 accurate passes while threatening the opposition’s goal three times.
Racing’s manager, Gustavo Costas, opted for a 4-3-3 formation, which included Facundo Cambeses in goal; Ezequiel Cannavó, Nazareno Colombo, Franco Pardo, and Gabriel Rojas in defense; Matías Zaracho, Santiago Sosa, and Matko Miljevic in midfield; and Santiago Solari, Adrián Martínez, and Duván Vergara up front.
On the other hand, Estudiantes (RC), coached by Gerardo Acuña, employed a similar 4-3-3 setup with Agustín Lastra guarding the net; Raúl Lozano, Gonzalo Maffini, Matías Valenti, and Tobías Ostchega in the backline; Siro Rosané, Alejandro Cabrera, and Francisco Romero in the midfield; and Martín Garnerone, Ramón Ábila, and Tomás González leading the attack.
