In a compelling display of skill and strategy, Belgrano triumphed with a 3-1 scoreline against Atlético Tucumán during their 7th matchday of the Apertura. Head coach Ricardo Zielinski’s men showcased excellent control throughout the game.
The scoring opened with Emiliano Rigoni finding the net at the 37th minute of the first half, followed shortly after by Nicolás Fernández who scored just after the halftime break at the 7th minute of the second half. The third goal came from a stunning long-range shot by Julián Mavilla in the 31st minute of the second half. Despite a late penalty converted by Martín Benítez at the 43rd minute of the second half, Atlético Tucumán couldn’t recover from the deficit.
Emiliano Rigoni’s performance was particularly noteworthy, as he not only scored once but also made two attempts on goal, earning him the title of the standout player of the match. Julián Mavilla, contributing with a goal, also had a strong impact for Belgrano.
Belgrano set up in a 4-5-1 formation, with Thiago Cardozo guarding the goal. The defensive line included Leonardo Morales, Alexis Maldonado, Lisandro López, and Adrián Spörle. Midfielders Adrián Sánchez, Franco Vázquez, Alcides Benitez, Lucas Zelarayán, and Emiliano Rigoni supported Nicolás Fernández in the attack.
