LA Galaxy and NYCFC concluded their matchup without a victor in week 1, held this Sunday at Dignity Health Sports Park.
The first half began brilliantly for LA Galaxy, who took the lead almost immediately with a goal from João Klauss in the 1st minute. However, New York City FC equalized through a penalty converted by Nicolás Fernández Mercau in the 65th minute of the second half.
A standout moment of the match was the opening goal by João Klauss, who received a cross from Marco Reus and shot from inside the box, giving the opposing goalkeeper no chance.
