On Friday, in the seventh round of the Clausura, Pachuca triumphed at the Estadio Universitario against Tigres. The match was filled with excitement as Pachuca staged an impressive comeback after Ozziel Herrera had given Tigres the lead with a goal in the 38th minute of the first half.
The hosts celebrated early when Herrera found the net following a precise cross, sending the Tigres supporters into a frenzy. However, the joy was short-lived when Salomón Rondón equalized for Pachuca in the 78th minute, scoring with a powerful header.
The climax of the match arrived when Robert Kenedy, who had an outstanding performance, netted the winning goal with a splendid effort in the 87th minute, sealing the victory for Pachuca at 2-1.
Kenedy contributed significantly with one goal and three shots on target. Rondón also shone for Pachuca, scoring once and attempting five shots.
Tigres, under coach Guido Pizarro, lined up in a 4-5-1 formation with Nahuel Guzmán in goal; Jesus Garza, Joaquim Pereira, Jesús Angulo, and Vladimir Loroña in defense; Fernando Gorriarán, Rômulo, Diego Lainez, Ángel Correa, and Ozziel Herrera in midfield; and Rodrigo Aguirre up front.
Meanwhile, Pachuca, managed by Esteban Solari, also adopted a 4-5-1 setup, featuring Carlos Moreno in goal, supported by Carlos Sánchez, Eduardo Bauermann, Sergio Barreto, and Brian García in defense. The midfield consisted of Sergio Rodríguez, Christian Rivera, Alexei Domínguez, Alan Bautista, and Oussama Idrissi, with Salomón Rondón leading the attack.
