In a thrilling match on Saturday, Pachuca defeated Atlas 3-1 during round 6 of the Clausura. The Tuzos established a solid lead thanks to two goals from Oussama Idrissi and Brian García, scored in the 17th and 40th minutes of the first half. Despite a valiant effort, Atlas managed to net a penalty by Alfonso González in the 63rd minute, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide.
Salomón Rondón extended Pachuca’s lead further in the 66th minute, ensuring the final score remained intact. Both González and Rondón had opportunities to add to their tallies, striking the post, but ultimately they were unable to capitalize.
Oussama Idrissi was undoubtedly the standout performer, showcasing his skills with a stunning goal and consistently threatening the Atlas defense. Similarly, Salomón Rondón also contributed significantly with his goal and three shots on target.
