In the 4th round of the Apertura, Sarmiento demonstrated their strength at home with a hard-fought victory against Atlético Tucumán this Sunday. Junior Marabel put the hosts ahead with a header in the 19th minute of the first half, followed by Diego Churín doubling the lead with a powerful shot into the net in the 36th minute. Atlético Tucumán managed to pull one back when Maximiliano Villa scored in the 26th minute of the second half with a well-executed play.
Junior Marabel’s performance was pivotal, earning him the title of ‘Man of the Match’ after scoring one goal and registering five attempts on target. His counterpart, Maximiliano Villa, also shone by scoring one goal and making two attempts at goal.
In a standout moment during the match, Franco Nicola from Atlético Tucumán executed a dazzling nutmeg on Sarmiento’s Yair Arismendi in the 55th minute of the second half.
Sarmiento’s coach, Facundo Sava, employed a 4-4-2 formation with Javier Burrai in goal, backed by Thiago Santamaría, Gaston Arturia, Juan Manuel Insaurralde, and Lucas Suárez in defense.
