Diego Churín then doubled their advantage, finding the back of the net in the 36th minute with a well-placed shot.
Atlético Tucumán fought back and managed to reduce the deficit in the 26th minute of the second half, with Maximiliano Villa scoring from a well-crafted play. Despite their efforts, the visiting team could not find the equalizer.
Junior Marabel stood out as the player of the match, showcasing exceptional performance by scoring one goal and taking five shots on target. His counterpart, Maximiliano Villa, also had a commendable game, scoring once and attempting two shots.
In a notable moment, Franco Nicola of Atlético Tucumán delivered a brilliant nutmeg on Yair Arismendi of Sarmiento at the 55th minute.
