In a captivating encounter held at their home ground, Lecce emerged victorious against Udinese, securing a 2-1 win in the 24th round of Serie A. The hosts struck first just five minutes into the match, thanks to a fantastic play from Omri Gandelman. However, Udinese responded effectively, leveling the score in the 25th minute with a penalty converted by Oumar Solet.
Despite a missed opportunity late in the game, where Gandelman hit the post in the 86th minute, Lecce found a way to seal their victory. The winning goal came from a set-piece by Lameck Banda, which hit the back of the net right at the 90-minute mark of the second half.
