On Tuesday, Independiente Riv. (M) triumphed over Sarmiento with a score of 2-1 in a pivotal match during the third round of the Apertura. The home team demonstrated their strength, establishing a solid 2-0 lead early in the game. Fabrizio Sartori opened the scoring in the 21st minute of the first half, followed by Alejo Osella, who enhanced the advantage just six minutes into the second half.
Osella’s stunning effort in the 51st minute not only lifted the spirits of the Independiente Riv. (M) side, but also earned him roaring applause from the crowd. After a brilliant individual run down the left flank, he unleashed a shot that found the top corner, leaving Sarmiento’s goalkeeper helpless.
Despite the setbacks, Sarmiento managed to pull one back through Junior Marabel, who scored in the 69th minute after a well-executed play. However, the time left was insufficient for Sarmiento to equalize.
Alejo Osella stood out as the star of the match with his crucial goal, while Fabrizio Sartori also made significant contributions, scoring and attempting two shots on goal.
Independiente Riv. (M) coach Alfredo Berti lined up a 5-3-2 formation with Nicolás Bolcato in goal; Alejo Osella, Iván Villalba, Leonard Costa, Sheyko Studer, and Juan Manuel Elordi in defense; Tomas Bottari, José Florentín, and Matías Fernandez in midfield; and Fabrizio Sartori and Sebastián Villa leading the attack.
Sarmiento, on the other hand, entered the field with a 3-6-1 setup under coach Facundo Sava, featuring Javier Burrai as goalkeeper; Renzo Orihuela, Gaston Arturia, and Lucas Suárez in defense; a midfield consisting of Santiago Salle, Jonatan Gómez, Cristian Zabala, Carlos Villalba, Yair Arismendi, and Jhon Renteria; with Diego Churín as the lone striker.
The match was officiated by referee Luis Lobo Medina at the Bautista Gargantini Stadium.
In their upcoming fixtures, Independiente Riv. (M) will travel to face Estudiantes (RC), while Sarmiento will look to bounce back at home against Atlético Tucumán.
